The Graduate Student Association (GSA) appropriates a portion of its annual budget to provide support for graduate student research through funding travel incurred while presenting original work.
We are now accepting Fall 2019 Travel Grant applications for travel between October 1st, 2019 and March 31st, 2020. The applications are due by Friday, November 22nd by 5 PM.
Ph.D. Students may receive up to 3 travel grants while at ESF. Masters students may receive up to 2 travel grants.
Travel Grants are awarded twice a year and are meant to cover travel-related expenses when presenting scholarly research at local, national, or international conferences and scientific meetings. The grant can also be used to fund graduate students presenting research at professional seminars, conferences, and workshops. Seminars and workshops must be standalone events (as opposed to affiliated with a conference) to be eligible for funding. Grant money can be used to fund mileage, airfare, rental cars, and accommodations. Awards are for a maximum of $250 and students can only receive funding from the GSA once per academic year.
