The Graduate Student Association appropriates a portion of its annual budget to provide support for graduate student research through funding: 1) travel incurred while presenting original work or for professional development; and 2) original research project needs.
Travel Grants are awarded twice a year and are meant to cover travel-related expenses when presenting scholarly research at local, national, or international conferences and scientific meetings. The grant can also be used to fund graduate students attending professional development seminars and workshops. Grant money can be used to fund mileage, airfare, rental cars, and accommodations. Awards are for a maximum of $250 and students can only receive funding from the GSA once per academic year.
