Spring 2019 Research Grant Applications

The GSA is proud to be able to support graduate students who are doing original research. The Research Grant is intended to provide graduate students with greater access to research opportunities by providing grants. The GSA appropriates a portion of its annual budget to provide support for graduate student research through funding: 1) travel incurred while presenting original work or for professional development, and 2) original research project needs.

Research Grants are awarded each semester and are meant to cover research or project-related expenses including equipment, supplies, and travel to conduct research. Awards are for a maximum of $500. Regardless of whether or not a proposal is funded, each applicant submitting a properly completed application and proposal will receive a compiled set of comments and suggestions for improving the grant that can be used increase the quality of any other submissions to other entities. Students can resubmit an unfunded grant from the prior year after addressing the comments made by the reviewers. Applications and proposals are to be submitted electronically as a .pdf, respectively, to [email protected] with "GSA Research Grant" in the subject heading.

The due date for Fall 2019 Research Grant Proposal submission is Friday, November, 22nd, 2019 by 5 PM.
